We are pleased to announce that after months of testing and hard work the sintered bronze bushings for the stepped pulley of Thorens 124 are finally available. Produced in Germany to our specifications, they are formed through the use of heat and pressure by pouring bronze powder into a mold cavity just like Thorens used to. The porosity of the bore and the self-lubricating property of the obtained part assures the constant presence of an oil film around the axle of the stepped pulley to maximize silent operation of such a crucial component of the "drivetrain" .

Unlike the spare parts commonly available on the market that comply with ISO F7 specifications and allow an excessive clearance of 0.022 millimeters, our bushings have been carefully made to a production tolerance of 0.005 millimeters, which from our studies is the best value to avoid play and keep the stepped pulley silent and efficient.

Impregnated with Shell synthetic turbine oil (22%), our stepped pulley bushings are supplied with a plastic punch to enable the end customers to perform the replacement quickly and easily.

Please note that the bushings on auction are suitable for Thorens 124 series 1 and 2 with chassis mounted bushings only. Look closely at the pictures for reference.
