  This is the Audiosilente high precision direct drop in replacement for the Thorens 124 early design stepped pulley (the one where the shaft is fixed to the cast chassis by two set screws). CNC machined from aluminum in one production process to ensure the concentricity of the internal bushing with the pulley itself, our replacement offers much less runout than the wobbly original (a defect we have often come across during hundreds of restorations over the last twenty years). The stepped pulley is fitted with an oil impregnated sintered bronze bushing just like the original (the bronze pores are pre-loaded with oil).

The internal bore of the bushing is 4.000 millimeters so the production tolerance is virtually zeroed. We also provide a ceramic ball with a diameter of 4.000 millimeters. Last but not least every stepped pulley goes through a session test of eight hours before shipping. ***Please note that we DO NOT sell the bushing as an individual spare part.
